About Us

Mary Walker

Mary is a puppeteer and children’s author (and ‘sparker off-er’), with many years’ experience of devising puppetry, storytelling and creative writing projects for children and adults. She has taught English, Drama and Creative Arts in schools and colleges, and has an M.A. in Visual Storytelling. She writes children’s books and poetry under her pen name, Mary Lister. From 1994 to 2001, she was director of Moving Parts Festival of Puppetry and Animation. She has worked in America, Brazil and Romania.

Ken Walker

Ken Walker has been working as a professional storyteller since 1997. before that he spent many years teaching Classical Civilization, including a year teaching in Vermont, U.S.A. He has an M.Ed. in Curriculum Development, and is always looking for ways to make education more interactive and creative. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of Ancient Myths and Legends, he has developed his own unique epic but humorous style of storytelling in role. He is also a coordinator for the Muzika Charitable Trust, which sends artists to work in Romania.
