One-Day Projects
All these projects start with an introduction and a presentation, using puppets. This is followed by a series of workshops and devising sessions, and ends with a performance by the children and ourselves to an audience.
One World, Many Voices
For 7 – 14 year-olds.
A project on the U.N. Charter for the Rights of the Child, using puppetry to bring to life the problems of children across the developing world, and to help them ‘find a voice.’
This can be offered as a one day project for 1 or 2 classes, as well as a residency, which would involve more children.

For 4 - 8 year-olds.
An interactive puppetry, poetry and percussion workshop, leading to a story performance, based on Mary’s book of the same title, published by Barefoot Books, under Mary’s pen-name Mary Lister.

For 5 – 12 year olds.
An opportunity for children to meet a real Ancient Greek hero, and hear him tell stories about the Greek gods and heroes.

The Biodiversity Workshop -
Creatures in their Habitats
For 5-12 year-olds.
A puppetry wildlife project, in which children choose one of four world habitats (desert, arctic, rainforest and ocean) and create puppet creatures to devise plays, in groups, around the themes of conservation, the food chain and bio-diversity.

Turning the Tide
For 7-12 year-olds.
A conservation puppet workshop, leading to a performance by the children on the theme of the Sea and the Coast. (Originally commissioned by the North Yorkshire Moors National Park).

The Puppetree
For 4-11 year-olds
A puppet-making and devising workshop, leading to a short performance on the themes of conservation and the local environment. The children make puppet creatures, such as birds, bugs, insects and animals, to tell a developer why he must not chop down their tree.

Siren Songs and Mermaid Tales
For 3-7 year-olds.
An interactive puppet performance with a conservation theme. The children make puppet birds and fishes in a workshop, to help a mermaid, who’s in trouble.

Fruit and Vegetable Circus
For 3-7 year-olds.
This is a project for Early Years and children in Keystage 1, to make puppets on the theme of healthy eating, and explore issues relating to diet, health and the body, through the anarchic and comical antics of the fruit and vegetable puppet characters they create.

For 3-7 year-olds.
A new project involving fairy stories and puppet-making, for the very young. Children aged 5 – 7 can have writing workshops as an extension of the story performances and puppet-making.
